Focus next · Maths
Aiden still finds questions that need several steps tricky.
Why this comes first
Many of these problems involve fractions too, so practising them helps both areas. Fractions also needs practice. It’s next in line.

What a bar model looks like
Using Coach Kyu's practice question: Mei had $120. She spent ¼ of it on a book and $18 on lunch. How much did she have left?
- 1Draw one bar for the whole $120.
- 2Split it into 4 equal parts.
- 3Shade what was spent: ¼ on the book, then $18 on lunch.
- 4The part left over is what the question asks for.
